Consent letter for Indian visa

If you are travelling to India with a child or children, the child would need to apply for an Indian visa just like the adults, however, a consent letter will also be needed and, with other documents and after having been signed by both parents,  to be sent to Indian High Commission.

Example of a consent letter:

Dear Sir or Madam,
Re: Letter of consent for (child’s name).

We, (parent 1’s name) and (parent 2’s name), parents of (child’s name), can confirm that our son/daughter  (child’s name) will be travelling with  (parents’ name) to India for tourism purposes and we both give our full consent for his/her travel.  Our expected date to arrive and depart from India is on (date, month, and year) and (date, month, and year) respectively.
